A cancelled flight to Bolivia ended up with an impromptu trip to Ecuador. Even though it wasn’t really planned, we spent several months in this country, that truly stole our hearts.

The Ruta de la Cascadas near Baños in Ecuador is a pretty scenic ride along the mountains. We rented bikes for the day and rode part of the 62km route down to Puyo. They tell you it’s mostly downhill but it’s also uphill for quite a stretch ;) The road however … more »

Life on the Galapagos Islands is tough. After foraging for food all morning it’s time for a nap! This fellow was caught taking a well deserved snooze in our hotel :)
