Welcome to Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat. At a breathtaking altitude of 3600m on average (that is almost 12,000 ft!), it’s a wonder that this place is also one of the FLATTEST PLACES ON EARTH! Uyuni is so very flat that satellites use it to calibrate their terrain sensitivity.
The landscape looks so other worldly. In case you didn’t realize, that is not snow – it’s salt. The flattest place on earth surrounded by several volcanoes and then the driest place on earth (the Atacama desert). What other titles is Uyuni going to win?
It’s a place worth visiting and you can even stay in a hotel made entirely of salt! Now that’s something else!
Definitely on our list, looks magnificent already on the pic!
And it is one of those places that, no matter how hyped it is, does not disappoint in real life!
Whoah! I’ve never heard of Uyuni but the photo looks fantastic. A salt flat – that sounds very interesting! Adding that to my bucket list. :)
This is on my bucket list!!! :D
i so so so want to go there!
