The sea lions in Valdivia are very different from the ones we saw on the Galapagos Islands. To start with, they’re about 3 times the size. Also, the males seem to be more aggressive and owing to the cold south pacific currents, end up being quite furry!
That’s where the differences end. They’re the same lazy playful creatures that love soaking up the sun! We spotted these folks while crossing the bridge over the Calle-Calle. (yes, that’s the name of the river :P) They seemed to have found their own little raft and are now floating around the river, enjoying the sun like there’s no tomorrow – just as it should be! :)
