We met these two little girls while on a cycling tour from Battambang. They live in a little village and since this was during the holidays, help their mother with her daily chores. Their mother makes rice noodles and sells soups to the people in the village. A bowl of soup is about half a dollar!
The rice noodle making process is quite complex and takes very long because there are several rounds of soaking, crushing, making batter, letting it dry, heating, cutting, etc.
It’s good that these little girls are there to help their mum because there’s another little baby napping close by in a hammock!
I miss Cambodia–the people are wonderful. I’m still tempted to move there.
I can totally understand… Cambodia has some of the most genuinely friendly and welcoming people. Just a smile from someone in that country is able to make my day! :)
Those girls are so lovely and helpful as well. I wish them good life ahead.
Awwwww so cute!! :D
