Salar de Uyuni in Southern Bolivia is the biggest salt plain on Earth.
When you arrive at the salar, it feels like you’ve landed in a different planet. The endless white reflects the sun no matter in what direction.
If you had to walk back somewhere, you’d probably never even find a reference point to guide you home…
Seems painfully beautiful with it being so hot and so white for such a long stretch – hurts the eyes, no?
It does hurt the eyes actually! I was the only silly person around without sun shades!.. I recommend everyone to carry shades when visiting Uyuni… The first time you come out of the car it’s like stepping into heaven, so white it all is!! ;)
