When we traveled to Bogota, we stayed at the Bog Hotel located in one of city’s trendiest neighborhoods, La Cabrera. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this beautiful hotel was designed by a fellow Portuguese, Nina Andrade. The concept behind it though is inspired in very Colombian elements such as gold and emerald.
The rooms display a contemporary Colombian inspired decor and ambiance, keeping in mind the functionality that is expected from a hotel of this standard.
There is complimentary WIFI, 32″ LED TV, iPod docking station, amongst other useful amenities.
A complete buffet breakfast is available every morning, with indoor and outdoor seating. Even on cooler days, there is a fireplace that will invite you to have your morning coffee by the terrace, while enjoying a variety of Colombian and international dishes.
Apart from 24hrs room service available to satisfy your cravings at any time of the day or night, the resident restaurant ”La Leo Cocina Mestiza” presents a Colombian fusion menu, with a la carte dishes or several tasting menus.
Apart from a spa where you can indulge yourself in a great selection of beauty treatments and massages when you’re in the mood to be pampered, there is also a fully stocked gym where you can work your stress out. Ideally, one should head to the rooftop pool afterwards, either to enjoy the sun go down over Bogota’s skyline from inside the pool itself, or while sipping some cocktails.
If you travel to Colombia’s capital city and are looking forward to stay in a hotel that combines a stylish design, comfortable rooms and a welcoming staff, Bog Hotel is a place you should keep in mind!

Looks like a very cool hotel in Bogota – we’ll bookmark it for when we hopefully visit! The Columbian hats on the wall in the bar are fun :-).
If you end up staying there sometime, let us know how you like it! ;)
I looked into staying at this beautiful hotel when I was in Bogota- too bad it’s so expensive!
Maybe next time?! :)
