Shafer Baillie Mansion is a grand Bed & Breakfast in one of the most beautiful up-scale neighborhoods of Seattle. Capitol Hill is home to incredibly noble properties connected by quaint roads decorated with lined-up trees and flowers. In the middle of such manicured beauty, Shafer Baillie Mansion still manages to stand out, aesthetically and not only.

We were welcomed by the Innkeeper Glenn who is extremely helpful and courteous. He has an approach that truly makes you feel like the resident of a mansion, making justice to what Shafer Baillie Mansion stands for.

After a detailed tour of the property, Glenn welcomed us to our room. Queen Ann Hill room is decorated with fine details that create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
We also had a chance to have a look at some of the other rooms on the property, all with a complete ensuite bathroom, noticing that elegance and comfort are definitely a constant. The rooms have different rates, offering views towards the neighborhood or the city (from some of them you can even appreciate the famous Seattle Space Needle!).

The most impressive room at Shafer Baillie Mansion is undoubtedly the Suite. Just like out of a movie, this suite is incredibly spacious, receives a lot of natural light and features a bathroom that will make you feel like grooming yourself for longer than usual.

All rooms have cable TV and excellent WIFI connection. Magazine lovers will also find plenty of travel and lifestyle material to keep them entertained.
Breakfast is served every morning in the dining room, consisting of a buffet with a variety of cooked and fresh items, such as fruits and berries, different kinds of yogurts, bagels breads and pastries, eggs, smoked salmon, prosciutto ham, cereal, milk, fresh fruit juice, tea and freshly brewed coffee.
Coffee and tea are available all day on a self-serve basis, along with biscotti and some pastries to sweeten up your day if you fancy an afternoon snack. If you’d like to go for something lighter, enjoy the organic fruits available all day too at the dining room.

During the rest of the day, you can enjoy different rooms in the mansion, including a spacious living room with fireplace and piano, a sunny lounge on the ground floor (perfect for relaxing and reading) and a study room with books, daily newspapers, and computer connected to the internet.
