Pleasant Inn is one step up from most motels. In fact, it’s more like a B&B, with the difference that breakfast is actually not served.
It’s located right in the middle of it all in Morro Bay, less than 5 minutes walking to the water front, where you can enjoy the company of sea lions and views to the huge Morro rock. In fact, you can see the rock from right outside your room at Pleasant Inn too.
We stayed in a room with a really inviting king size bed, decorated with a mix of modern and vintage elements complementing each other.
The bathroom was rather compact but extremely neat, cute and sunny, having everything one would need.
Our room included a kitchen which is a huge plus for long-term travelers like us. Considering Pleasant Inn doesn’t serve breakfast, I believe this is a nice addition to the room, if you’d like to prepare your own meals. There’s a stove, microwave, coffee maker (and supplies to make coffee/tea) and enough utensils to make something substantial.
If you prefer to eat out, there is quite a variety of restaurants and cafes all around, within walking distance. Considering this is the coast, seafood is the speciality, but you can also try out Mexican, Italian, American, Thai, Vegan and other cuisines, really close-by.
When we were there, WIFI worked better closer to reception. We hear that now they’ve installed more routers and there’s strong signal in every room. If you go Pleasant Inn, let us know how it goes!
