Traditional vs modern in Singapore

Singapore is a city of contrasts. Step in and you’ll find ultra modern buildings juxtaposed with a buddhist monastery such as this one. The old meets the new pretty quickly in Singapore where development is rapid due to the booming service industry.

This means that prices are high and some of the most affordable places that you can eat at are the “food courts” around town. What’s wonderful is that each stall in the food court has a government rating based on cleanliness and other factors pasted right across the counter. So you can eat with confidence!
