Allow me to introduce myself: I am a seasoned traveler, I have been around for so long that I don’t even belong to any specific country anymore. But experience carries good AND bad things!
I’ve grown sick and tired of websites and travel blogs that picture the world as if it was all full of rainbows and unicorns. It’s beautiful no matter where you go, every hotel is better than the previous, the families that run hostels and home-stays are always friendly… What the hell is all of that?! So sickening!
If, like me, you’ve traveled for a bit, you’d know that many time the path is full of stones, not roses. You pay for one thing and you get another, some cities are ugly and stink and those who run hospitality business aren’t always angels. Still, somehow, travel bloggers prefer to rose tint all of their experiences (maybe for the sake of creating pleasant memories for themselves) and tend to exclude the bad stuff from their writing.
I am here to speak out the truth! I am not a negative person, don’t get me wrong. But I believe one should give credit when credit is due, and give hell when someone has put you through hell too!
A&Z have agreed to allow me to publish my rants here on Backpack ME, so you can expect many posts on my less positive experiences and observations coming soon.
