Precariously stacked up in New Delhi, waiting to be collected or sold. Hopefully there’s no strong breeze because these trays look like they could take flight. India is possibly one of the few countries in the world where you can buy eggs a piece. Due to the large number of people who can ill afford a dozen eggs at a go, everything here can be sold as individual units. There are even small sachets of shampoo, detergent, etc.
Due to so called ‘traditional’ methods of production, eggs here tend to be anti biotic free, and you also get real sugar – none of that corn syrup stuff. Old fashioned is good sometimes. Eggcellent indeed!
