Going to a typically Andean town in Ecuador is a voyage for the senses, particularly the eyes. Next to Indians, Andean people are, to my knowledge, the most colorfully dressed people on Earth!
The traditional Andean outfit not only is pretty is also warm, consisting of layers and layers of woolen, festive shades of strong colors and a hat commonly decorated with a side feather.
This is what an Andean town feels like on a regular Sunday.
