She died in 600 AD

The Chauchilla Cemetery near the city of Nazca has some very well preserved remains of it’s original inhabitants. This lady died in around 600 AD but once you pass away, your hair and nails continue to grow – as is evident from this photograph that we took over there.

The cemetery lies in the middle of the desert and was unearthed by archeologists in the 1920s. It’s definitely a strange place to visit, entire families are buried there with earthenware and other utensils.
