Sharing Andean Tales

There’s something wonderful about seeing people floating around in traditional garb. We spotted these ladies while walking around Chivay in the Peruvian Andes. They were standing there exchanging stories about what’s new in town. I couldn’t resist.

Chivay is a quaint little town at about 3300m altitude in the Colca valley, Peru. It’s situated next to one of the world’s deepest canyons (the Colca canyon) which is about twice as deep as the grand canyon in the US. Pretty awesome!
