Fasiladas Bath

Gondar in Ethiopia, is a city that offers you a look at some rich history and a trip to Lake Tana – one of the largest lakes on the planet.

This is Fasiladas Bath, where the royals would jump in from the building in the middle. But, ONLY the royals were allowed to indulge in such sport. The commoners would step in from the staircases on the side.

This bath is pretty well preserved and while it no longer has any water, it’s easy to picture the royals having a romp in there back in the day!
