In the big hypermarkets there is always a HUGE sweets section, that make the bread selection look much tinier.
Croissants, danishes, “conchas” (sort of milky bread with sugary icing on top), muffins, cookies… plenty to choose from!
And the fun part is how you actually choose the items you want to take home: you grab a tray and tongs and you pick the stuff you like. Then a lady at the counter will place everything nicely inside a paper bag (dividing sweet and savory stuff so flavors don’t get mixed up).
