Cuba is a land of shortages, that is no secret.
We were walking around La Habana, when we came across this pastry shop and noticed the almost empty counter. Let’s just say that a first world problem like “OMG, I don’t know which one to choose!” does NOT apply here.
Maybe business was so good that they ran out of cakes. Or maybe this is just their regular stock. We do not know, but this surely doesn’t look like the most appetizing display.
Lack of food… and food for thought.
