Exotic views on Easter Island

Easter Island is one of the most remote locations in the world. You can only access it by sailing across the south pacific or by flying from Chile or Peru. The flight is 6 hours westward and you finally end up on a tiny island, right in the middle of the giant pacific ocean!

The famous head carvings (Moai) on Easter Island were carved by the Rapa Nui people who live on the island. Legend dictates that they did it to commemorate their ancestors. It is this strange tradition that has made this island famous in modern times. Here we see a collection of Moai’s, an Ahu, standing by the sea. They’ve been there for hundreds of years, watching over their people.
