Hey!

I agree with everything you say! And I'm French... but no parisian, I'm from the South-west from France, and I sometimes feel like a stranger in my own capital city ^^ i let you imagine how they look (and sometimes laugh)at us when thez hear our accent...
I couldn't bear it a few years ago. Now I think Parisians are also part of the charm of this city. You just have to be aware of who they are... and maybe consider them as monuments x) admire the way they always look in a hurry, as you admire the Eiffel Tower! I love doing it. Now, in fact, I think I just love them.

I hope you'll come back in Paris, to have a better feeling... At least, come in the south-west, we're nice and the sun is there 365 days/year :P

That's my whole point: Parisians complaint that there are way too many tourists "invading" their city, but let's face it, tourism is a major chuck of their economy, so they should be somehow grateful, not the opposite!
But oh yeah, the croissants: all the pastries are worth the trip to Paris no matter what language they speak or whatever their behavior might be over there! ;)

Actually, we did not buy the keychain!
But yeah, one has to admire the creativity that comes with the fact that you've gotta make a living selling stuff in the streets!..

Ach, this post made me smile and brought back such great memories from Paris. As for the tourists in Paris, I found some of them so annoying like the ones in Amsterdam. I met few French people during my last visit in Paris and they are very specific people, not very into tourists :). They never spoke English to us, they complained about Paris being too busy with tours and holiday makers :) Well, that's Paris! I am glad you had a nice walk. I miss croissants a lot!!
