So glad to hear you enjoyed traveling solo around India, Belle!
I guess not everyone has what it takes, because as you say, it does put you out of your comfort zone - but that's exactly what makes it such an enriching experience!
India might not be the most attractive destination for a conventional "vacation" (there are spots for that too, of course), but for "travel" as a broader experience, India does an excellent job!

Having travelled India alone as a Solo Female I completely understand where your coming from, India is such an amazing country, however as a female, we certainly experience travel in a different way to our male counterparts. The one tip that I learnt about travelling in India alone was to try and tee up my transport so I arrived in the morning (where possible), even if that means arriving at a bus or train station in the dark. I love the spontaneity that comes with arriving in a destination without accommodation, transfers or a plan, but that can present inherent risks as a female! I found travelling India alone to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, as it really put me out of my comfort zone and made me learn so much about life, travel, culture and gave me a lot of confidence as a traveller!
