It's really nice to see Islam and Pakistan written about in such a positive way considering the way news media outlets can talk about these topics and Muslim countries in general. The way you have written this is like a spiritual experience itself where you've captured the peacefulness and what sounds like a profound experience. I have visited Badshahi mosque as well and found it so tranquil. These images also show the architecture and peacefulness of the mosque as a place of worship, giving thanks to Allah (God). Thanks for writing this respectful post.

It's is an architectural gem built with grace dignity and very majestic.

It did go through a turbulent period under the Sikh Empire and British Empire but fully restored today.

As a muslim I prayed there and as I performed ablution I could look straight through into the great out door courtyard through the splendid arch and one is memorised wit the symmetry and precision and how winder full view are captured through those arches.

Soak in the majesty and beauty and then Close your eyes and for me my mind went to a time when this was called a Badshahi masjid from the word a King's or King of Masjids. You can truly appreciate the splendour of the great Mughal Empire.

In the while sub continent for me this cones close to the Taj Mahal in beauty and craftsmenship.

Makes me proud of my forefathers and what we achieved.

Absolute must to experience.

This mosque has an interesting story. I love the architecture that is very new for me that I'm used to completely different kind of buildings and one day I hope to make it to Pakistan myself to be able to embrace the culture of such beautiful country.
