i feel so bad I never been to Jutland. Surely feels like I missed out on a lot of danish culture. Copenhagen is very international and probably different. But nevertheless I love it so much.Copenhagen is a great place to visit especially in summer.

Diana, I would definitely recommend Copenhagen, its bigger and much more to offer than Aarhus. Northern part of the Zealand island is also nice, try to see Gilleleje, Helsingor and the surrounding area. Another good part is the western coast of the Jutland peninsula , very nice beaches and great scenery.

Denmark seems great and I am planning to study here starting in the fall. Do you have any advice in choosing between Aarhus and Copenhagen in terms of student opportunities? (job for English speakers, expenses, etc.) Just looking for a local’s opinion :-) Really useful article! Thanks!

Don’t forget Lego!!! I was waiting for a connection from Stockholm to Oslo at the train station in Gothenburg and read that Lego was invented in Denmark. Right then and there I decided I liked Denmark and hopped on a train to Copenhagen instead so I could see what else makes the country great. It was so random but so much fun! No regrets!

I’ve always wanted to visit Denmark, my wife’s been there in a business trip and loved it (she was only in Copenhagen). It’s a promise I’ll visit some time soon, and maybe live there (why not?) :D

I’ve never been to Denmark, but knowing it’s the happiest country on the planet makes it a very important travel destination for me. Besides, Northern Jutland’s so beautiful and this food… :D!
