On the road

We’re off on an EPICATION!

As you probably know, we’ve been staying in Lisbon for a while – catching up with work, friends, family and everything that is “normal”. But, let’s face it, we’ve never been the type to follow a very regular existence, so we’re off on a new adventure.

For my birthday, Ashray planned a mega surprise… that didn’t stay a secret for very long! We’re flying to the USA: we’re traveling to 3 cities to attend several concerts and visit a dear friend of ours.

It’s funny that we travel a lot, but we don’t actually take a lot of vacations. You know? The type when you’re not working on your computer, replying to emails and seeking new opportunities online. This time, though, it’s more than a vacation. When the immigration officer on arrivals asks us:

“What is the purpose of your visit to the United States of America?”

We shall reply:

“An epication!”

That’s right… an epic vacation shall from today onwards be known as an EPICATION!

But first things first, because everyone needs to have a valid visa to enter the US, prior to the trip. EU citizens can apply for an ESTA online. This time I noticed the ESTA application form contains much more information than before. You have to answer about your visiting information in the US, your job situation at home and so on. But the good thing is with estapermit, you do not need to visa the local embassy, as soon as you have access to internet and a credit card, you can fix it! Upon arrival I just need to show my passport to the Immigration officer and tell him I’m ready to have an incredible time rocking it out in the USA!

Our epication will be taking us to:

1. CLEVELAND to attend Dashboard Confessional’s gig. Hands down, my favorite band, which I haven’t been lucky enough to see live yet.

2. DENVER to rock it out with The Mowgli’s and Portugal. The Man at the stunning Red Rocks Amphitheater. Coming from Portugal, the Country… to see Portugal, the Man – hell yeah!

Last year, we had edited one of our travel videos to the sounds of “Time” by the Mowgli’s – we couldn’t have found a better soundtrack to go along with our travel memories. We’re very much looking forward to their live show, which will for sure flood us with good vibes.

3. NEW YORK CITY to finally celebrate my birthday with some friends.

A pretty crazy trip indeed but, what the hell, you only live once!

Don’t forget to get in touch with us via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram  – we’re looking forward to sharing this rock’n’roll trip with you!

  • What an amazing surpirse! Makes me remember EVERYBODY needs a vacation! People think travelers live on a holiday but we also need a break from the exhausting schedules and changing pillows every few days. I loooove the term and I will add ‘Epication’ to my next trips for sure! Wishing you the best for that Epic journey!!! <3
